Quick answer
The fastest way to dry your NanoDry towel on the go is to wring it out, shake it, and hang it in moving air. The nanofiber material dries in a fraction of the time of cotton, but a few simple techniques make it even quicker.
Why the NanoDry towel dries fast
The NanoDry Packable Shower Towel is made from nanofiber, which absorbs twice its weight in water but releases moisture much faster than traditional cotton or microfiber. This means you don't need a dryer or hours of sun—just a little technique.
Common mistake: over-twisting
Wringing the towel too hard can damage the nanofiber structure over time. Instead, use a gentle twist or press the towel between your hands to remove excess water. The material dries quickly enough that aggressive wringing is unnecessary.
Steps to dry your NanoDry towel on the go
- Remove excess water: After use, gently wring the towel to remove as much water as possible. Avoid twisting it into a tight rope—instead, fold it lengthwise and press from the ends toward the center. Checkpoint: if water drips when you hold the towel up, you need to wring a little more.
- Shake it out: Hold the towel by one corner and give it a few sharp shakes. This fluffs the nanofibers, creating air pockets that speed evaporation.
- Hang in moving air: Drape the towel over a hook, hanger, or line in a spot with good airflow—near a fan, open window, or air conditioning vent. Avoid direct sunlight for extended periods, as UV can degrade the fabric over time. Checkpoint: if the towel is still damp after 30 minutes, move it to a breezier spot.
- Use the packable case for storage: Only store the towel in its premium silicone case once it is completely dry. Storing a damp towel can lead to mildew odors. If you're in a hurry, let it air out for at least 15 minutes after shaking before packing.
